Polymer Electrolytes
Our Research
Polymer electrolytes or ion conducting polymers are a crucial component in the development of solid-state batteries. We are working in the development of new single-ion conducting polymers, iongel polymer electrolytes and poly(ionic liquid)s.

Our Objective
Our aim is to develop novel polymer electrolytes with high ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability window for high voltage cathodes and metal anodes (Li, Na). We take into account sustainability aspects in the design of polymer electrolytes including biobased polymers, recyclability, low-flammability, self-healing polymers or polymers derived from CO2.
Development of high performance ion conducting polymers for emerging electrochemical technologies such as fuel cells, electrolysers, electrochromic devices, membrane separations or OECTs is also pursued.
